Hey everyone Jess and I are looking foward to seeing you all at the wedding. Thought we would start a blog to document our newlywed adventures in the Indian Ocean. For those of you who haven't heard yet Jess is taking off days after the wedding to the Maldives to fly twin otters with Kenn Borek Air ( Maldivian Air Taxi) www.mataxi.com. I will be joining her soon after, October 17th, for a six month contract. We don't have any idea what I will be up to there except for surfing, kiteboarding and fishing, but I think I can live with that. An open offer stands for anyone travelling in the area to come and stay with us in Male.

For those of you concerned about Haida's well being she will be going to a dog retreat just outside the small town of Spruce Grove, at her request. Unfortunately the country of Maldives does not have one dog, so to try and sneek her in would be next to impossible. We thought of training her as a seeing eye dog to get her in the country, but to keep the gig up for six months may not be worth the effort. Anyway she wants to work on her skijouring skills with Derek this winter (Derek, be sure to set the track early this year to get a good base of snow for the track).
